Home Remedies for urinary tract infection
It is not harmful to follow certain home remedies before the person consults the physician. If the natural remedies that are followed at home are not found to be working due to the severity of the case, then it is better to follow the doctor’s recommendations and the treatment given by him. The antibiotics advised have to be taken till the course is completed though the symptoms have subsided. It is advised to drink hot water and also to drink lots of water. The foods or drinks that can irritate the bladder like tea, coffee and spicy foods have to be avoided. The person also has to stop smoking.
• The treatment of urinary tract infection using the solution of half tea spoon of baking soda in one glass of water at the initial stages can help maintaining the acid-base balance of the urine that is acidic.
• Drinking fluids and water will help in proper flow of urine from the body. Urine flow can aid in cleaning the body and sending out undesired substances from it. Drinking lot of water will send away the wastes while drinking fruit juices and vegetable juices will help in providing vitamins and minerals that help the body to fight against infection in the bladder.

• Vitamin C: The use of vitamin C can make the bacteria to not grow in the acidic environment created in the urinary tract and bladder. The diet must have a healthy supplementation of minerals and other nutrients. The urine can be made alkaline by taking in milk, fruits, and vegetables. The addition of citrus fruits can give a good supplementation for vitamin C.
