How to Get Rid of A Yeast Infection Naturally Part 2Written by admin on April 11th, 2012
Yeast infections can be fairly common in women and can occur whenever there is a change in hormones or stress levels. In fact, a yeast infection can occur in women just by taking birth control pills, taking antibiotics, wearing non-cotton underwear, wearing clothing that is too tight in the crotch, staying in a wet bathing suit too long, or buy using feminine deodorants.
Since it is so easy to get a yeast infection there are many home remedies that women have discovered over the years which help to provide immediate relief and comfort from the irritation yeast infections give them. Below are some tips and advice on what to do if you have a yeast infection.
The first thing you should do if you suspect you have a yeast infection is to make sure you drink plenty of water. Doctors and nutritionists recommend drinking at least eight glasses of water each day to stay healthy. However, if you have or suspect that you have a yeast infection you should try to drink at least ten glasses of water throughout the day. You do not want to drink all of this water at once because that will not be nearly as beneficial for your body.
Instead try to spread it out throughout the day.
The next thing you should do is to wear only 100 percent cotton underwear. Cotton is one of the most breathable fabrics in the world, and whenever your skin is repairing itself you need to get it as much fresh air as possible. This is why most medical bandages are made of 100 percent cotton because it both protects the wound and allows air to reach the skin to help promote the healing process.
You will also want to make sure that you don’t wear any tight fitting clothes in the areas where you feel irritated by the yeast infection. If your clothes are too tight, it will cause frequent rubbing and even more irritation on your skin.
