Welcome to Vibraboard! The state of the art in biomechanical stimulation.
The Vibraboard biomechanical stimulation table has a
vibratory range of 5.0 to 50.0 hertz in 1 10th of a
hertz increments. Unlike older biomechanical stimulation
tables,
Vibraboard works on the entire body at once. Lower range
frequencies (5-8 hertz) support lymphatic flow and relaxation.
Mid range frequencies (25-28 hertz) support relief from pain
and increase rate of healing.
Upper range frequencies support increases in strength and
bone strength.
Pain Relief & Detoxification
Vibraboard can work wonders with pain. Often chronic
pain that has lasted years and defied all forms of treatment
can be relieved in minutes with Biomechanical Stimulation
(BMS).
The nerves for the perception of pain (nozioception)
and posture (proprioception) share the same pathways.
By stimulating the proprioceptive pathways, Vibraboard
helps to suppress the transmission of pain. The generation
of
endorphins created by BMS also helps decrease the perception
of pain. By increasing circulation and forcing the relaxation
of tight muscles, the underlying causes of pain are also addressed.
Bone Density
Using Biomechanical Stimulation (BMS) for osteoporosis
and osteopenia dates to the rehabilitation of Astronauts
by NASA. The micro-gravity encountered in space travel
rapidly degenerates the bones in even the healthiest
individuals. It was found that bone density could most
rapidly be regained in astronauts with BMS. A few minutes
of vibration has been shown to have the same bone strengthening
effects as a much greater amount of time spent with
weight bearing exercises. For those individuals unable
to perform weight bearing exercise, BMS is the optimal
solution.
Rehabilitation
Biomechanical Stimulation (BMS) has been shown to increase
the rate at which all tissues regenerate. Studies show
that muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and skin heal
much faster when vibrated.
BMS was originally designed by Russian scientist Nazarov
for the rehabilitation of the gymnasts he trained for
the Olympics. Later the world famous Bolshoi ballet
used it to keep injury free. BMS is now used by most
major sports teams and many clinicians around the world.
Strength Training
Biomechanical stimulation (BMS) has been shown to increase
both muscle strength and coordination. Even short sessions
if done regularly have been shown to have effects similar
to that of standard resistance exercise.
By increasing nerve and muscle coordination, antagonistic
muscles not involved in a particular motion are relaxed
allowing for more efficient and thus faster and more
powerful movement. BMS has also shown increases in explosive
power similar to that resulting from plyometric training.
Relaxation & Sensory Integration
RELAXATION
A 7.8 hertz frequency will not only vibrate the body
at 7.8 hertz, it will also cause entrainment in the
brain at the same frequency (theta waves), thus while
the body is being gently rocked back and forth in a
relaxing rhythm, the brain is also led to resonate in
the theta wave range. In this manner both the body and
the mind release their tension.
SENSORY INTEGRATION
The rhythmic rocking or tremor that is seen in certain brain
and nerve disorders (autism, Parkinson's etc.) is
not just a symptom of these conditions, it is also a therapy
for them. Stimulation to the nerves with gentle rocking has
been shown to help coordinate and balance the different branches
of the nervous system.
Massage
Receiving bodywork and Biomechanical Stimulation (BMS)
at the same time is an amazing experience. Additionally,
BMS not only helps mobilize the toxins released during
deep tissue work, it also causes the involuntary relaxation
of the muscle tissue allowing for a deeper and more
restorative massage.
