Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
is a medical treatment in which the patient
breathes 100% oxygen while inside a pressurized chamber.
What Are Goals for Using HBOT?
Promote energy production.
Assist the body through detoxification processes.
Control inflammation and swelling without dangerous side effects.
How Does Hyperbaric Therapy Work?
Oxygen, under pressure, dissolves into the fluid portion of the
body, elevating arterial levels up to 20 times higher than normal.
The oxygen rich liquid portion of the blood can effectively deliver
high levels of oxygen to areas of poor circulation.
Oxygen is essential for the proper functioning of every cell in the
body. Increased oxygen levels from HBOT allow increased cellular
metabolism, improved waste removal, and a dramatically accelerated
rate of healing.
Our Hyperbaric chambers provide the condition in which high levels
of oxygen are dissolved into the fluids of our bodies, especially
delivering the much needed oxygen to our red blood cells. This
causes significantly increased levels in energy production and
reduction of inflammation resulting in a supercharging effect on the
many functions of our immune systems and a dramatically accelerated
rate of healing.
Our Immune System
When our Immune System is healthy and strong, it can resist disease,
repair injuries, and provide us with sound physical and emotional
health.
Our Immune System becomes weak and sluggish when overwhelmed by
stressors in life such as genetics, environmental toxins, lifestyle,
and just plain aging, resulting in runaway levels of inflammation.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is simply helping our Immune Systems
overcome these stressors, restoring and optimizing a healthy
productive life.
How Does Super-Oxygenation Build Immune Health?
Increases metabolism (energy production) & Activates white blood
cell defense activity.
Stimulates white blood cells for clean up duties & Destroys or
inactivates viruses.
Effective as an anti-fungal & Reverses poor blood flow related
injuries.
Improves oxygen carrying capability of red blood cells & Helps liver
to ‘decongest’ itself of stored toxins.
Assists kidney and lymph’s toxin-neutralizing ability & Stops tissue
destroying bacteria.
Inhibits bacteria growth and the associated toxicity.
What Common Conditions Have Responded Well to Hyperbaric Oxygen
Therapy?
Addictions and Chemical Detoxification
* Alcohol
* Nicotine
* Pain Medication
* Narcotics
Auto-Immune Disorders
* Lou Gehrig's or ALS
* Multiple Sclerosis
Brain Injuries
* Traumatic brain injury
* PTSD (post traumatic stress order)
* Autism
* Cerebral Palsy
* Stroke
* After effects of near drowning
Surgical Recovery
* Post Surgery or Injury
* Cosmetic Surgery
Hyperbaric Oxygen Stand Alone or Adjunct Therapy?
With most conditions, HBOT should be considered as an adjunctive
therapy.
HBOT enhances benefits of other modalities such as:
Nutritional absorption, utilization of herbs, detoxing, organ
support or weight loss products.
Combining New Technologies with the Expertise and Safety of
Traditional Medicine.
Let's Get Started!
Hyperbaric Session Helpful Tips
Juice, water or snacks are permitted in chamber during treatments.
Avoid sugary items.
Books and magazines are permitted in the chamber, avoid newspaper.
Your phone must remain outside the chamber but may be heard inside
chamber via chamber headphone jack.
Clothing
Dress in 100% cotton. Cotton scrubs and socks will be provided as
needed.
Cotton sheet, blanket and pillows are provided.
Treatment Cautions:
Avoid being dehydrated during HBOT. Has been known to cause
headaches during treatment.
Avoid excessive caffeine before HBOT. Has been known to cause
headaches during treatment.
Avoid treatments while hungry. Blood sugar metabolism increases
during hyperbaric treatments and could cause blood sugar to drop for
those prone to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
To begin hyperbaric treatment, a pdf format of a two page
Evaluation/Prescription Form must be filled out by the patient and
signed by a doctor.
Safe and Comfortable
Notify HBOT Technician Whenever:
Chamber seems humid or too warm. Increased ventilation will cool and
refresh the chamber interior.
You are cold. Blankets and hot packs will be provided.
You have need to use restroom. We can pause / resume or stop
treatment anytime to meet emergencies.
You feel flush, sweaty or too warm. We will cool chamber to rule out
low blood sugar or oxygen toxicity.
You feel light-headed or nauseous. Blood sugar could be dropping or
is a stomach reaction to vitamins or medication.
You have difficulty breathing. Could be result of anxiousness or
COPD. Treatment will be stopped as necessary.
Chamber Contraband:
No lighters, oxygen activated warmers, cell phones, heat or friction
generating devices or toys.
No battery containing devices such as watches, hearing aids, phones,
radio, I pod or games.
No lotions, oils, make-up, lipstick, or hairspray made with a
petroleum base.
No synthetic outer clothing. Only cotton outer clothing. (Under
garments may include polyesters)
No sharp objects that could scratch the chamber windows such as
rings, or clasps.
No Velcro. Refrain from changing Velcro containing diapers while in
chamber. Source
