Insulin is very important for our body. Insulin is the hormone that
coverts sugar, starch, and other food into energy that we need for
our daily activities. If our body does not produce or properly use
insulin then we will have diabetes. In America alone there are now
23.6 million children and adults who have diabetes. 17.9 million of
them have been diagnosed while 5.7 million of them have not. That is
why it is very important to know about diabetes.
Diabetes has two major types. Type 1 diabetes is defined as the
body's failure to produce insulin. It is estimated that there are
5-10% of Americans have type ! Diabetes. Type 2 diabetes on the
other hand is defined as the failure of the body to properly use
insulin coupled with relative insulin deficiency. More Americans are
diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
Some
minor types of diabetes are Gestational diabetes in which can happen
to women immediately after a pregnancy. 5-10% of women with
gestational diabetes have been found to have type 2 diabetes. There
is also Pre-diabetes in where it is estimated that 57 million
Americans have it apart from the already 3.6 million with diabetes.
Pre-diabetes is defined as a condition that occurs when a person's
blood glucose levels are higher than normal.
Two
modern alternative medication that can treat diabetes is Chelation
therapy and Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Chelation therapy is the
process of removing heavy metal toxicity out of the body through
administering chelating agents such as EDTA. EDTA stands for
ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, a synthetic amino acid that was
first developed in Germany.
Though chelation therapy is more known to treat heavy metal
poisoning from lead, mercury, plutonium, iron, uranium and organic
poisoning. Chelation therapy can also treat Diabetes Mellitus,
Diabetic retinopathy and diabetic neuropathy. Chelation therapy
treats these three types of diabetes by increasing blood flow and
removing toxins and heavy metals from the body.
Diabetes can also be treated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves pure oxygen that is breathed by
the patient inside a hyperbaric chamber. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
sessions lasts for less than an hour and is very safe because it
requires no surgery and can even be administered at home without the
supervision of a doctor. Aside from diabetes, hyperbaric oxygen
therapy can also treat autism, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, head
injuries, ADD/ADHD and Crohn's disease.
Hyperbaric chambers are very accessible since hyperbaric chambers
are available for sale and for rent. They come in two sizes, the
single and the double bag. Single bags fit only one person and can
be operated solo. The double bags needs two people to be operated
and fits two people.
Aside
from the conventional medication that is also used to treat diabetes
Now we have two more new ways to treat diabetes. Good luck and have
a nice day!
