Gallbladder and Kidney: the significance of gall bladder and kidney
for the human body along with the functions each performs to keep
the human body going. Also know some of the conditions associated
with the gallbladder and the kidneys.
The gallbladder and kidney are
important and vital organs that play a key role in the digestive and
excretory system of the human body. Without the proper functioning
of the gallbladder and kidney, the
health of an individual can deteriorate to severe levels.
The kidneys are a vital pair of organs located at the back side of
the abdominal area, responsible for filtering impurities out of the
blood. The gallbladder is a pear-shaped organ located at the base of
the liver, responsible for storing bile secreted from the liver.
The gallbladder and kidneys form an
essential part in the digestion and excretory system of the body.
Both the gallbladder and kidneys must
be in good health and detoxified on a regular basis for a disease
free life.
Functions performed by the kidneys and the gall bladder
The gallbladder and kidneys perform
key functionsin the human excretory
and digestive system. Theses functions are:
Functions of the kidneys:
Regulating the blood pressure-
although the kidneys are not able to directly sense blood,
regulation of blood pressure depends on them. This primarily
happens through maintenance of the compartment of extracellular
fluids, whose size depends on the sodium plasma concentration.
Excretion of wastes- many waste
products from the metabolic process are excreted by the kidneys.
These consist of the nitrogenous waste called urea, from
catabolism of proteins, along with uric acid, from the
metabolism of nucleic acid.
Homeostasis
of acid base- two vital organ systems of the human body namely
the kidneys and lungs, are responsible for maintaining acid-base
homeostasis, which is described as the regulation of pH and
stabilizing it to relatively stable values.
Functions of the gallbladder:
Acts as a temporary storage
container for the bile juice secreted by the liver.
Squirts this
bile juice into the small intestine from the bile ducts to help
in breaking down the fats and fatty toxins.
When the bile ducts are being
pressurized by bile juice from the liver, the gallbladder acts
as a reservoir for that excess bile.
Conditions associated with the kidneys and the gall bladder
An unhealthy diet and lifestyle can lead to several ailments of the
kidney and gallbladder. A healthy
diet low in fat and with lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains
can help prevent these ailments.
Listed below are some of the conditions that can arise in the
gallbladder and kidneys:
Conditions of the kidneys:
Kidney stones- the substances and minerals found in the urine
sometimes form stones or crystals which might block the flow of
urine after growing larger. It is a very painful condition and needs
timely treatment.
Renal cyst- a benign and hallowed space in the kidney is created.
However, this condition does not affect any functions of the kidney.
Kidney failure- worsening of kidney functions like dehydration or
blockage in the urinary tract can cause the severe condition of
kidney failure which is irreversible.
Kidney cancer- Renal cell cancer is the most commonly occurring
cancer of the kidneys. Smoking is considered a leading cause of
kidney cancer.
Conditions of the gallbladder:
The absence of certain amino acids like Glycine and Taurine in the
bile pigment can cause the bile to get transformed into a solidified
state called biliary sludge, which can lead to the formation of
gallstones.
Cholecystitis- this is a disease where the gallbladder is inflamed,
causing severe pain in the abdomen.
Jaundice- can be caused if the liver is damaged or overloaded; or
even when bilirubin is not able to move through the digestive tract
properly.
A balanced diet combined with a cleansing and detoxification regime
can go a long way in preventing these diseases. Also, maintaining
proper levels of amino acids like Taurine and Glycine in the bile
can help biliary sludge from forming, this sludge is the precursor
to gall stones. These amino acids are the active ingredients of a
detoxification product called Glytamins. Another active
ingredient in
Glytamins, Chanca Piedra, can help dissolve kidney
stones. Incorporating a detoxifaction product such as Glytamins in
your life can help keep the kidneys and gall bladder functioning
properly.
